Ball Hockey Ontario is always looking to add to, and strengthen our current compliment of referees and timekeepers. Our clubs operate evenings and weekends with shifts available based on your availability.
What do we look for in our Officials:
· Experience in officiating organized team sports is an asset but we will train the right candidates,
· A passion for the game of Hockey,

· The ability to remain calm and cool in difficult situations,
· Strong customer service skills,
· Clean and Neat in appearance,

Successful candidates will be required to undergo 1-2 training sessions per year at their expense. The first of which must be taken before any games will be assigned. There will be annual recertification clinics to ensure that the official has the latest knowledge base required. Clinics are taught at 3 levels – Junior, Intermediate, and Senior. BHO will provide the facilities and arrange experienced trainers to provide instruction on both officiating and customer service. We will work with you to ensure you work at a level that you are comfortable and capable. New officials will be required to purchase, at their expense, the appropriate uniform and accessories as directed by Ball Hockey Ontario.
