Student Volunteers
Get your 40 hours of community service helping out at your club!

As part of the O.S.S. diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities. These activities may be completed at any time during their years in the secondary school program. The community involvement requirement is designed to encourage students to develop awareness and understanding of civic responsibility and of the role they can play in supporting and strengthening their communities. The requirement will benefit communities, but its primary purpose is to contribute to students’ development. It will provide opportunities for students to learn about the contributions they can make to the community.

Ball Hockey Ontario has always been a progressive organization promoting youth development through our Growing Up Through Sports (G.U.T.S.) program that encourages youth development through teamwork in a fair play fun for all atmosphere. As an attestation of our desire to help youth with their education requirements Ball Hockey Ontario offers volunteer positions that can satisfy the students community involvement portion of the O.S..S. diploma requirements. We are always looking for students in graded 9-12 to help out as:

· Junior Coaches
· Assistant Coaches
· Tiny Tots Instructors
· Special Events Support
· And many others
