Q. What is the difference between a sponsored and unsponsored team and how does this affect my fees?

A. Some teams choose to seek out a sponsorship such as a local business or restaurant that provides a team fee. In this case each individual player’s fee will be less than an unsponsored team and dependant on the set rate for the season.  A team which is unsponsored pays no team fee, but pays more for each individual.  Team reps must notify the club when they sign the team up as to whether or not they are an unsponsored or sponsored team.  If you are unsure into which category your team falls, contact your team rep or your club.

Q Are there any discounts available?

A. Yes, please refer to the pricing info posted on this site under the specific club in your area..

Q.  Is practice time available?

A. Yes. As a registered team you are able to book practices when the rinks are free. Have your team rep contact the office and we will be happy to assist you in booking a practice. Please note, that even though it is a practice, helmets are required to be worn at all times when on the rink by all players under 18. Players practicing without a helmet will be asked to leave.

Q.  My goalie cannot attend a game, what should I do?

A. When a goalie cannot make it to a game you have two options. First you can have one of your own players play goal and just make a note on the game sheet or because of a new rule change, you make pick up a goalie regardless of how many players you have on your bench. As long as they are a registered player and the opposing team rep agrees, you can have a substitute goalie. Please ensure you note this change on the game sheet.

Q. What are the benefits of being a team rep?

A. Team reps get to organize their friends into a team. Team reps get to play for free as long as there are 11 paid players also registered.

Q. What are the responsibilities of a team rep?

A. A team rep is the liaison and the conduit between their players and the club.
It is their duty to:

  • Keep their team informed of all games including cancellations and rescheduled games
  • Supply game balls
  • Fill out game sheets prior to the start of game
  • Help maintain order on their benches and on the rink
  • Assist officials in restoring order during difficult situations on the rink
  • Attend required team rep meetings
  • Inform office of any issues or suggestions to benefit all

Q. How can I become a team sponsor?

A. Contact rink management for pricing and further information.

Q.  Can I (a youth player)/ my child request to play with a friend?

A. Yes. Our youth registration forms do have a spot where you/your child can request to play with one friend. However in order to make this request possible, the friend must also request you/your child and not someone else.  The registration must also come in on time and requests made after registration has closed cannot be accommodated.  If the latter requirements are met then we will do everything possible in order to have you/your child play with their friend.

Q. Will my children play on the same team?

A.  Siblings who are registered in the same division will be placed on the same team.  If your children have different last names, please ensure to notify the counter staff to make a note that they are siblings so we can have them play together.

Q How much does it cost to play?

A Please refer to the pricing info posted on this site under the specific club in your area.

Q.  I was just suspended; can I still come and watch my games?

A. A suspended player is welcome to come and watch their team play on three conditions. First, there is a 24 hour cool down period in which the player is asked to refrain from coming onto the grounds of the club. Second, a suspended player is not allowed to be on the team’s bench and finally, if the player causes any issues while watching, the referee retains the right to ask them to leave the property.

Q. How do I know if I have been suspended?

A. Generally if you have been ejected from a game you may have another game suspension – you should check with management before your next game.

Q. How do I know if my online registration worked?

A. You should receive a conformation email. If this does not come, check to make sure you have provided the correct information. In order for your registration to go through you will have had to gone through a payment stage. If this did not appear, your registration did not work. If you are unsure, call your club and they can check for you.

Q. Can I register at the beginning of the season and make payments throughout the season?

A. No payment is required before you may play.

Q.  Where can I find my schedule?

A. Schedules are located both in the clubhouses and online. To find them online simply click on clubs on the top bar, and select your club. Then on the right hand side of your screen a sidebar will have a few options, one of them being schedules. Once you click on that, the screen will change to a list of the divisions. Find yours, and beside it click on schedule.

Q. Can games be rescheduled?

A. Youth games cannot be rescheduled as there are no appropriate hours available.
Adult games can be rescheduled if both team reps approach the office and there is an
     Appropriate time slot.
