Ball Hockey Ontario’s Elite divisions offer young players an opportunity to enter their own team and play with friends at a more competitive level. These leagues are designed to allow groups of players in a common age bracket to enjoy the game of ball hockey in a structured format. There will be divisions for four age groups in 2010 and the structure will be based on players being "under" a certain age. Under 18 (U18), U16, U14 and U12 divisions will be offered so that teams playing at the club level will be eligible as a team for the WOBHC tournament in August 2010. Teams require an adult coach and must have a minimum of 11 paid players on their roster.
This is a great way to keep your ice hockey or sports team playing together. It offers an opportunity to keep our children healthy and fit playing Canada’s outdoor sport. All games are played at our local facilities and you can choose from seasons that start in March, June or September. Contact us early before the season begins.
Skating skills are not a requirement as all games are played in running shoes.
Our facilities also offer a very affordable opportunity for off-ice training and skill development for ice hockey teams. Have your team focus on face-off drills, positioning on the rink and breakout plays while having fun off the ice. The rinks are also available for birthday party rentals.
As an option to the elite league structure, individual children can join our Growing Up Through Sports (GUTS) divisions for six to seventeen year olds and they will be placed on a team. Our Tom Horton's Tiny Tots program is 9 sessions of instruction for children 4-5 years of age.
