ST. CATHARINES, ON — The Garden City Classic officially kicked off Ballhockey.com’s 2025 calendar in style, delivering three action-packed days of ball hockey at our Canal Rinks. As the first event of the year, the weekend set a high bar — filled with intense competition, unforgettable moments, and an incredible outpouring of community support.
From April 11–13, players, teams, and fans came together to celebrate the sport we love. The atmosphere was electric, fueled by a dedicated group of players, passionate spectators, and a roster of teams who gave it everything on the court. From the first face-off to the final whistle, the energy never dipped — it was a true reminder of why we do what we do.
We’d like to thank the community for stepping up in a big way. Whether it was cheering on friends and family, supporting our merch and food vendor, or creating an environment that was welcoming, lively, and full of spirit — the community helped make this tournament special.
And of course, congratulations to our divisional champions:
🏆 Men’s B Division: Rose City Royals
A dominant showing throughout, capped off with a championship performance worthy of their crown.
🏆 Men’s D Division: Niagara Lions
After a rocky round robin, the Lions roared back when it mattered most, proving that perseverance pays off.
🏆 Co-Ed Division: The Teepees
This division was stacked with talent from all over, but it was the Teepees who rose above the rest with chemistry, skill, and a flair for the dramatic.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring the Garden City Classic to life. The bar has been set — and we’re just getting started for 2025.
