Tournament Rules & Guidelines
General Information
- Maximum roster size is 18 including goaltenders.
- Required Equipment: Helmet & Shinpads (including knee coverage). We will allow a separate shin & knee piece, but both must be fully covered from ankle to top of knee.
- Standings: 2 pts per win / 1 pt per tie / 0 pts loss.
- Tiebreaking Procedure:
- Most Wins
- Head to Head play ( 2 teams only)
- Tiebreaking Procedure:
- Points by Period (1 pts per period win, 0.5 per period tie)
- Goal Differential
- Goals Against
- Least Penalty Minutes
- 1 timeout per team in all games.
- Three 10 minute periods stopped time.
- Round Robin games will end in a tie
- Overtime in Quarters & Semis will be 5 minutes followed by a shootout.
- Championship games will have continue overtime until a winner is decided.
- Fighting will not be tolerated. Any player assessed a fighting major is kicked out of the tournament and potentially beyond.
- All players must play in at least 1 round robin game to be eligible for Sunday. Backup goaltenders need not play, but must be in attendance for at least one game.
Tournament Procedures:
- All teams should submit their roster ahead of time to be entered into the system.
- PLAYERS MUST SIGN THE LIABILITY WAIVER INSIDE THE CLUBHOUSE BEFORE STEPPING ONTO THE FLOOR. Each team will have their own roster sheet to be signed. Players must simply come in and sign beside their name. Players need only do this at their first game of the tournament.
- Full payment must be in prior to your first game of the tournament. You can pay through the website, or in person at the desk. If you wish to send an e-transfer, you must verify that you have sent it with the desk staff.
Men’s D Specifics:
- No Men’s A or B players. Max of 4 “C” players. (The responsibility to ensure you are compliant lies with the team. Should a roster be found to be illegal at any point in the tournament, all games will illegal rosters will result in a forfeit loss.)
- A / B players include
- Men’s A/B Nationals in 2024 or 2025 (Canada or USA)
- Tier 1 or 2 (A or B) in Ontario 2024 or 2025
- A / B players include
- International “A” event (World Championships) – 2024
- Any major A/B Tournament in 2024 or 2025.
- Any player currently >3pts on the NBHL ratings
- Any player rated H1-H7 in Quebec.
- Any rostered NBHL Tier 1 player
- C players include:
- Participated in Men’s C Nationals (Canada,USA)
- Any rostered NBHL Tier 2 player
- Any players >2 points for NBHL salary cap
- Quebec players rated H7-H9
We will not tolerate abuse of any kind towards our officials or event staff. Please respect our officials & staff or you will be asked to leave the tournament.
