Get ready for one of the coolest tournaments of the year: Blizzard Battle returns this December! From December 4–6, the action heats up under the covered Mike McGowan Rink and inside the Haig Bowl Arena, where teams from across the region compete for winter bragging rights.
Divisions include:
- Men’s B
- Men’s D

Team Entry: $750 + tax per team

Prizing: Each divisional winner will receive a team set of personalized hoodies! Embroidered Blizzard Battle logo on the chest, and name/number on the sleeve!
Roster maximum: 20 rostered members on a team (including goalies)

Player Ratings Database in Effect
The July 2026 update of the Player Ratings Database is in effect for this event.
Each division has specific rating restrictions that determine which players are eligible to participate. Team reps are responsible for knowing and following these restrictions when submitting their roster (it also helps if players know their own rating).

Ratings Implications: This event DOES contribute to the Ratings Database; however, teams/players must adhere to the Ratings Database to compete in this event.
Online Roster Deadline: All rosters must be submitted online by the posted deadline. Submitting a roster does not constitute approval or verification of player eligibility. Team representatives are solely responsible for ensuring every player they field is eligible for the division entered. Any team found to have fielded an ineligible player is subject to forfeit of the affected games.
Divisional Classifications: For current player ratings, please refer to ballhockeyratings.com. Classifications shown on ballhockey.com may not reflect recent changes and should not be treated as authoritative.
For a player on a team’s roster to be eligible for elimination games, they must play in at least one (“1”) round-robin game. Once a player plays one game, they cannot be dropped from the roster and have their spot taken by someone else.
Rating Appeal: If you believe a player’s rating is inaccurate due to non-participation in a listed event (e.g., being rostered but not playing), you may submit a rating appeal — appeals require official confirmation from the issuing event organizer and must be received no later than seven days prior to the tournament start date.
