Men’s Over 35 Draft League (Summer/Fall 2026)
Draft Night: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 | Tuesday Nights | Ballhockey.com Canal Rinks
Built for the Veterans
Ballhockey.com is bringing the draft league format to the players who’ve been at it the longest. The Men’s Over 35 Draft League is a 12-game season plus playoffs, played Tuesday nights at Canal Rinks — and the draft board is being set right now.
Draft Night — Wednesday, September 9, 2026
The draft goes live at Montana’s BBQ & Bar, 327 Lake St., St. Catharines at 7:30 PM.
Four captains will build the teams. The first 10 rounds will be conducted in person at Montana’s, with the remaining rounds completed by league management afterward. Every eligible player sits in one single pool… no tiers, no separate groups. Captains draft from the same board, top to bottom.
Players are welcome to come out and watch their name come off the board. Grab a seat, grab a bite, and see where you land.
Planning to attend? Fill out the attendance form below so we can give Montana’s an accurate headcount.

Still Want In? Sign Up by September 6
The player pool is still open. Submit your interest by Saturday, September 6, 2026 to be included on the draft board for September 9. After that, the board is locked.
Eligibility is open to players 33 years of age or older.
How It Works
Step 1 — Submit Your Interest: Fill out the interest form to enter the player pool. Submitting the form does not guarantee you’ll be drafted… it registers your interest and adds you to the draft-eligible pool. No payment is required at this stage. Submit by September 6, 2026.
Step 2 — Draft Night: On Wednesday, September 9 at 7:30 PM, four captains draft their rosters at Montana’s BBQ & Bar. All players are in one pool. The first 10 rounds happen live in the room; the remaining rounds are completed by league management immediately after. Every drafted player is notified with their team assignment.
Step 3 — Pay & Play: If you’re drafted, your registration fee of $160 + tax is due before the first game. Then it’s 12 games of Tuesday night ball hockey, followed by playoffs.

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m not 35 yet — can I still play? Yes. Eligibility has been expanded to include players aged 33 and up.
Do I have to attend the draft? No. Attendance is optional and has no bearing on where you’re drafted. That said, it’s a good night out… if you’re coming, fill out the attendance form so we can plan the room.
Are there separate pools or tiers? No. All players sit in one pool. Captains draft from the same board.
What happens after round 10? The first 10 rounds are drafted live at Montana’s. League management completes the remaining rounds afterward to finish out the rosters.
Do I pay when I submit my interest? No. There’s no cost to submit the interest form. Payment is only required if you’re selected in the draft, and it’s due before the first game.
What if I submit my interest but don’t get drafted? Submitting the form enters you into the player pool, but it doesn’t guarantee a roster spot. If you aren’t drafted, you owe nothing.
When is the last day to sign up? September 6, 2026. The draft board locks after that.
