Haig Bowl Arena is one of Niagara’s most versatile indoor sport spaces, and our outdoor rinks are available on special request too. Haig Bowl is a full-size arena open year-round, with a professional ball hockey floor (dek tiles), room to run, and a schedule built around groups like yours.

It’s not just for ball hockey. On any given week, the floor is shared by lacrosse teams working on their stick skills, indoor soccer games, athletes grinding through dry land training sessions, roller derby leagues, roller skating groups, pickleball players, and more. We’ve also hosted trade shows, wrestling events, and community gatherings. If you’ve got an idea, we’ve probably got the space for it.

Why Rent Haig Bowl?

The arena is weatherproof and available year-round, so rain, snow, and Niagara winters never cancel your plans. It’s a full-size arena surface covered in dedicated ball hockey flooring that works just as well for wheels, cleats, and running shoes. It’s in a central St. Catharines location at 17 Beech St., easy to reach from anywhere in the region. Our canteen is open on site with drinks and snacks for players and spectators. 

Rental Rates

$120 / hour + tax

We recommend booking 2 or more hours per rental. It gives your group time to warm up, play, and wrap up without watching the clock.

Prefer to Play Outside?

Our outdoor rinks are available to rent on special request. They’re great for pickup games, inline hockey, team practices, and dry land training when the weather’s on your side.

These rinks are home to our leagues and tournaments, so availability is limited, especially on weeknights and weekends. Daytime slots tend to be the easiest to find. Email our rentals team with your preferred dates and activity, and we’ll let you know what’s available and share pricing.

Rental Policies

Payment: Payment is due at the time of reservation. You can pay online (a 1% service charge applies) or by e-transfer to [email protected], including your invoice number in the message section. Payment can also be made in-person at Haig Bowl Arena (or Canal Rinks) before your rental begins.

Changes & cancellations: Permit fees are non-refundable. With at least 72 hours’ notice, we’ll move your fees to a new date and time.

Transition time: The final 5 minutes of every rental is reserved for changeover between groups. Please be off the floor by then.

Insurance: Organizations renting the facility must provide a certificate of insurance.

Conduct & belongings: The permit holder is responsible for participant conduct during the rental. Items brought into or stored at the facility are at the permit holder’s own risk. Ballhockey.com is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Food, beverage & alcohol: Food and beverage sales are the exclusive right of Ballhockey.com. Alcohol is prohibited unless a Special Occasion Permit and appropriate liability insurance are in place.

Indemnification: The permit holder shall indemnify and hold harmless Ballhockey.com against all liability, claims, damages, or expenses arising from any act or neglect by the permit holder, participants, or guests, or from the entry or use of the facility. This includes liability for injury or damage to persons or property.
