Registration is now open for the inaugural Royal George Invitational, a newly minted winter ball hockey event coming to Niagara on February 20–22, 2026, hosted at the Haig Bowl Arena.
This is more than a tournament.
It is a tribute to Niagara’s history, and a proving ground for today’s elite.
Rooted in the heritage of Fort George and the defining battles that shaped Canada’s earliest chapters, the Royal George Invitational draws inspiration from a region long known for borders, bravery, and rivalry. In February 2026, that legacy moves from the battlefield to the floor, as top ball hockey clubs compete for regional supremacy and the honour of writing the first chapter in a new tradition.
From the echoes of the past to the intensity of modern competition, the Royal George Invitational is where modern warriors take the floor—and legends begin.

💰 Entry Fee: $1,200 (taxes included)
• $150 deposit required prior to event
• Remaining balance paid at the event

Each division is capped to preserve competitive balance, scheduling quality, and the overall event experience.
The Dominion Cup – Champions’ Prize Package
At the heart of the Royal George Invitational stands the Dominion Cup, awarded to each divisional champion. This is not just a trophy—it is a symbol of firsts.

- Initial Prize: $1,200 per division
- Men’s B: +$300 added for every team registered
- Men’s C: +$200 added for every team registered

- Roster Size: Maximum of 20 participants (including goalie(s))
- Game Format:
• Three 10-minute stop-time periods
• 5-point scoring system (for divisions of 8 teams or more) - Guaranteed Games:
• Three round-robin games
• Followed by single-elimination playoffs - Individual Awards:
• Most Valuable Player (MVP)
• Most Valuable Defender (MVD)
• Most Valuable Goalie (MVG)
