Event Player Database: 2026 Overview and Update Schedule
The Ballhockey.com Event Player Database is used to help classify player eligibility for events and divisions by tracking participation in qualifying tournaments and championships. Its purpose is to support competitive balance, improve roster oversight, and provide a clearer framework for how players may be rated for Ballhockey.com events.
As of now, the following information reflects what is confirmed for the 2026 cycle. Additional updates, refinements, and classifications may be announced as the year progresses.
What Events Qualify for the 2026 Event Player Database?
The following 2026 events will qualify toward the Event Player Database:
Ballhockey.com Events
- Garden City Classic
- Gateway to Worlds
- World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships (WOBHC)
- Clash of the Titans
Other Qualifying Events
- USA Ball Hockey Club Championships
- ISBHF World Championships
- OBHF Provincials
- CBHA Nationals
2026 Event Player Database Updates
The first Event Player Database update of 2026 is expected to take place near the end of July 2026.
This update is currently expected to include the following changes:
Events Being Removed
- 2024 ISBHF World Championships
Events Being Added
- Garden City Classic (Men’s D)
- OBHF Provincials (Men’s A, B, C, D)
- 2026 ISBHF World Championships (Men’s A, Women’s A)
New Classification Being Added
As part of the first 2026 update, Ballhockey.com will also introduce an additional player classification:
- Men’s D Rated
This classification is being added to further strengthen roster oversight and event parity, particularly as more qualifying data becomes available across divisions.
